If anything we built, installed, repaired, or finished fails because of our workmanship inside the first year, we come back and make it right at no labor cost.

Documented every visit

Photos before and after, saved to your Home Health Record. If a warranty question comes up, we already have the proof of what was done.

The full warranty, in plain language

We offer a comprehensive 12-month warranty on all of our projects, covering any issues that may arise after the project is completed. This warranty applies only to work we perform directly. Some appliances and materials may be covered by manufacturer warranties, providing you with peace of mind and confidence in the quality of our services.

What is covered:

  • Labor and workmanship on any work performed directly by House Spouse
  • Re-execution of a task if it fails due to our installation or technique inside 12 months
  • Adjustments and follow-up visits when something moves, settles, or comes loose

What is not covered:

  • Defects in materials or appliances — those fall under the manufacturer warranty (we will help you file)
  • Damage from misuse, accident, weather events, or work performed by another party after our visit
  • Wear-and-tear on consumables (caulking, paint touch-ups beyond 12 months, etc.)
  • Pre-existing conditions that were documented but not part of the scope we were hired for

How to file a warranty claim

  1. Email dom@myhousespouse.com or call 206-335-7334 with your project address and a brief description.
  2. We respond within 24 hours and pull up the photo record from the original visit.
  3. We schedule a return visit, usually within the same week.
  4. If a manufacturer warranty applies, we help you file with the manufacturer.
